June 2021 Update

Precautions including sanitizing our hands before and after each job and wearing a face mask will remain normal procedure when working inside your premises. Please wear a face covering yourself and open a window in the room we will be working in. Social distancing should be observed as much as possible. If any customers have additional Covid-19 precautions they would like us to observe please get in touch.

We currently have a very high workload and it will be both quicker and safer if you are able to drop your computer off for repair rather than wait until we can schedule in a callout.

Please only book a callout if you and everyone in your household are feeling well and not showing any signs of symptoms, are not self-isolating or have recently come into contact with anyone who is now self-isolating as a precaution.

Callouts will be prioritised for when the repair can only be done at your premises.

We can still help in other ways

  • We offer phone support and will try and solve your computer problem this way if possible.
  • Remote access. If the computer still boots and can connect to the internet it is possible for you to give remote access permission using a program called TeamViewer. teamviewer.com This allows us to see what’s on your screen and control things remotely to fix the problem.
  • By arrangement you can drop off computers for repair as not all problems can be repaired remotely.

Drop-off and collections can ONLY be done at a prearranged time during business hours which are

9am-6pm Monday – Friday

9.30am–2pm Saturdays

You can book an appointment by phoning (during business hours only) or by emailing/texting/WhatsApp and we will respond as soon as we can.

How can I help?

Please wipe down your computer & accessories before bringing them round and after you pick them up.

Either use wipes or spray antibacterial surface cleaner onto a cloth and wipe with this.

DO NOT spray or pour any cleaning liquid directly onto your computer or accessories!

*** If dropping off a laptop please bring its charging lead and mains plug ***

Make a note of any passwords needed to logon to the computer along with your contact details.

What is the procedure for dropping off or picking up a computer?

At the agreed time, a table will be put outside the front porch so you can place the items for repair on it. We have had a waterproof canopy with lights installed that will be extended over the table when it is raining to keep you and your computer dry. Please use the Ring doorbell on the outside of the porch when you arrive.

Once work is complete the items will be cleaned and sanitised and put back on the table for collection at an agreed time.

Our address and map to find us can be found here https://www.arcomputerrepairs.com/contact/

Please use this to help calculate how long it will take you to arrive when booking a drop off or collection.

Items can be booked in to be dropped off or collected either on the hour or on the half hour during business hours. This is to prevent lots of customers all turning up at the same time making social distancing more difficult.

The preferred method of payment is by bank transfer and I will supply you with the bank details. If you can’t do bank transfers you can also pay by cheque or credit/debit card.

If you require an invoice, please let me know the name and address you would like it made out to.

Payment in full is due when the computer/ items are collected.

Cash can only be accepted by prior arrangement for low value repairs.

NOTE – If you find you can no longer arrive at the agreed time, are running late or need to rearrange please contact us ASAP.
